Nice one! You know what I'd really like to see? How to do a nice video intro. There are tons here on YouTube, but all done crappily by people who either don't walk you through it, or they do but so fast that it makes you want to punch the monitor. So please?

I loved this video and adored the puppet. Your instructions were so easy to follow. One problem I had at the end was that the vignette did not look soft around the face, how do you get it to look more faded into dark edges?

I make sure that when you first started you and you created another layer you have the original layer above the new layer and when you use the fill color you are working on the new layer also the first layer needs to be unlocked.

Make sure you have the oval selection tool not the oval shaped pool and also make sure your drawing the selection on the main layer

I am a 'figure it out myself' kind of guy.
Well...I COULDN'T!!!
So I youtube searched and found your tutorial. Initial reaction was getting the
E-B-G-Bees! (Puppets do that to me)
Well, I listened to that little guy with someones hand up his butt and came to realize that he was there to help me!

Thank you so much for this fun way of teaching me what I could not do myself.
As Red Green of Possum Lodge would say...
"I'm a man.
But I can change.
If I have to...
I guess"

I am 57 and needed to do this for my wife as a momenta of her mother who has passed on.

For that, we both thank you for making what was beyond frustration into a fun and simple way of achieving what to me was impossible!

If you save the vignette, you should be able to email or use drop box to get your image to a photo studio for them to print out for you.

quick question...I tried all of the steps on an image that was not locked and it made everything a strong solid color...so when i went back to bring down the opacity, it just filled the color inside of the oval...where did i go wrong with this step...yours is simple on a jpeg that i tried, but what about something that is already edited

that was easy as hell to do...and i was struggling to do this

Hi Fredrika! At 3:16 I said 'All you have to do is hit the 'delete' button on your keyboard.' InfoPuppet.

Also when you are working with the elliptical Marquee make sure that you have the main image selected which should be the layer on top and then you do the inverse and then you hit Delete on the keyboard and everything should work fine also watch the original vignette tutorial 1 more time and go slow and use the pause button after every step. Hi! Thank you for making good tutorials! In this video I didn´t hear what you said once. At 3, 16: "all we gonna´ have to do is hit the..." which button?´
