Listis Beach (Listis means Bandit) justifies its name as it daily “steals” the best impressions of its visitors. The crystal clear shallow waters and the sandy texture are an excellent choice for a summer getaway just 69 km. away from Heraklion even though it is a non-organized beach. The cliff above the beach has been named as the “Rock of the Listis”, where the caves have formed on it, according to stories told to the place where was the refuge of a great bandit.
