My ancestor Mary (Ayer) Parker was accused, convicted and hung in 1692. Her husband had a died a few years later. He left 225 acres £463 & 4 shillings to her and their children, which was a large amount in that day. Her daughter Sarah was accused as well.

My 10th great grandmother Mary (Clements) Osgood was accused and convicted when she was an old lady. She was beaten into confessing. She was imprisoned but was released after a few months.
