Agribusiness Hitech Conference and Farm2fork 2020 (Join Us)

During the coronavirus crisis, we realized that agriculture and the food processing industry are significantly more strategic industries than they had been perceived so far, and that self-sufficiency in food is important for the normal functioning of each country and society. Slovenia does not produce enough grain, fruit (except for apples) and vegetables for its needs. We can fix this by means of new technologies, knowledge and an interdisciplinary approach. Also, other countries face similar challenges in various areas of agriculture and the food processing industry.

The Agribusiness Hi-Tech Competition will show how agriculture and the entire chain from the field to the fork are being technologically modernized. This year’s winners will be announced on Tuesday, November 24, at the 5th “New Technologies in Agriculture” Agribusiness Conference where you will also find out how the Ministry of Agriculture promotes modernization of farms and which skills a modern farmer needs today.

The conference will feature the grand finale of the international Farm2fork hackathon, organized by the Digital Innovation Hub - DIH AGRIFOOD. We will meet 15 finalists competing in a pitching event, resulting with three hackathon winners. Be with us when they announce the best products and services that can reduce the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the agri-food industry or increase the resilience of food production and supply.
