Code: When governmental bodies adopt the standard and become legally enforceable, or when it has been incorporated into a business contract, the standard will become a code.

Specification: Specifications provide specific/additional requirements for the materials, components or services that are beyond the code or standard requirements.

Hi, so I may sound a bit silly but is anyone know where I can actually find all this standards ?

For exemple, if I have to refer to ISO9001, ASTM 31 or API 500 (the numbers are random and may not exist) for any project, where can I find the actual document?
