700BHP VR6 TURBO AWD MK1 VW CADDY RUNS INTO THE 9's

Mike Whittaker from Sleepymike Racing was at Santa Pod for the VWDRC Drag Days event. Back out in his Mk1 Caddy, which is fitted with a VR6 Turbo'd engine, pushing out about 650bhp, with an added 60bhp shot of NOS, all mapped by ADE tuning and putting the power down to all 4 wheels.
Mike has had the same setup for about 3 years now, and after noticing that the clutch was slipping, a new one was fitted along with launch control, and BOOM, into the 9's for the first time, with a best run of 9.963 @ 140mph.

As far as we know, this is the quickest Mk1 Caddy in Europe, with a mid engined one in the States, with a proper drag rear end setup, running a 9.4 or 9.5 (we think)
