Utility bills are increasingly maddening during winter definitely. I was able to get a clear view of how expensive living costs in UK. I believe in hard work, look at it this way: if I want to live comfortably in a two garage door well furnished, beautiful house; I have to work hard to make that happen. Truly if you have a reasonable six figure ( or more ) income in nigeria, relocation doesn’t make sense to start all over afresh. You would live much more comfortably, save more and achieve more. You can then afford to travel abroad once in a while for holidays and even spend more than those living there. I know of folks whose rent is almost 10times worth you pay for a decent accommodation in nigeria but theirs abroad ain’t even up to a third in size.

It almost the same as US, we don't pay tv bills here, but we pay cable bills. And as for African groceries, it is very expensive here oo, and of course, grocery expenditure depends on the size of the family. Family with children is different. Great share Flora.

450 pounds for a one bedroom in the UK. Never come to california then that one bedroom is now 5 to 6x that amount.
