King of the Hill (1997-2009): Intro Comparison (Both Main Versions of the Theme Song At Once)

I feel like I’ve been uploading too many videos about Nickelodeon lately, so to shake things up a bit, here’s another installment of my video series featuring different intros of the same show! For this installment, we’re proving that everything really is bigger in Texas with both intros used for the iconic Fox animated series, King of the Hill! God dang it, Bobby!

King of the Hill was yet another cartoon that started in 4x3, but later switched to being produced in high definition widescreen, specifically with its 13th and final season in 2009. As a result, the show’s intro was reanimated in the 16x9 aspect ratio for that season, with some changes made to the happenings going on in front of Hank, Bill, Dale, and Boomhauer, most notably the addition of Lucky (due to him getting married to Luanne in the precious season), replacing Buckley (Luanne’s previous love interest, who died at the end of season 2, but continued to appear in the opening to every episode until the intro was completely redone).

Also, while there were multiple variants of the show’s legendary theme song, only two were used regularly: one for the first two seasons, and the other for seasons 3-13. Therefore, both of the main theme songs variants are playing here.

Fun fact: in the intro, Hand wears a white shirt. You can see at the end after his head spins, the collar part of the shirt turns blue.
