Between George and Patience, the giggle factor of What The Hales always cheers me up.

4:00 the wooden purse is a 1940s fishing basket to hold the fish you catch. Definitely worth more than $13. 5:00 the wooden yoke was used to put your boots on. It looks like you bought a bucket of stuff from cracker barrel. 9:00 Two wooden paddles is for straightening hair or for straighten wool.

You channel is so refreshing! I love when you have the kids on with you! Patience is such a sweetie and her laugh is so contagious! Keep up the great work! 😂 ♥️

8:27 The wooden paddles were probably used in the making of butter (after the churning). The "ladle" with holes is used for taking food out of hot oil or water. The piece at 7:19 is a pastry cutter to cut up butter, lard or shortening into the dry ingredients for a flaky dough. Lot of lovely old cooking utensils!

I can’t believe you put Patience down that hole! (Go Bucks btw). Love her giggles and Crikey, she did a really fine Steve Irwin impression!

Lol!!! 🤣🤣🤣 y’all crack me up! The thing you called a pestle (7:54) looks like a tart push - you push it into a ball of pastry and it makes a shell. O-H !!

*Lays head on desk and just giggles*. "Seals of approval"? *more laughter*. You have got to keep these two charmers Jeremy, that are the perfect foils for you. Christian's dry humor good filming and pricing with Patience giggles with smart mouth. Just right for you.

The " musical instruments " look to me to be butter pats they used to shape butter into block, on farms and grocery stores before butter came from a factory prewrapped.

4:04 That's an old fishing basket. You'd wear it on your hip when you're knee-deep in the river fly fishing and that's what you'd put your catch into.
