What is Linux Access Control List (ACL)?
It allows you to give more specific set of permissions to a file or directory without changing the base ownership and permissions.

if i’m in user directory let suppose its steve like /home/steve and i want to go to temp directory now by both ways either by relative and by absolute i will go to temp directory then why we have 2 paths because by both ways we are going to same destination so when do i need to use relative path and when do i need to use absolute path?

Hi. Even after assigning rw permission to a different user using setfacl command, unable to add content to the file via vi Editor while logged in as the different user.
Getting Error "filename.txt" E212: Can't open file for writing
Syntax Used ;
setfacl -m u:username:rw filename
