What sealant do you swear by? Have you had better luck than me with certain tyre plugs?

Good video and matches my experience on my first tubeless ride last month (on a green Bokeh no less). Had a piece of oyster shell make a 7mm gash in my WTB Resolute and hadn't packed the Dynaplug Racer so it was a 4 mile walk home - I didn't fancy the mess of an inner tube in with all the sealant. The megaplug got the tyre working when I was back home and so would have been a good trailside fix, but I was never quite confident about long-term in such a big hole, and I had a problem with the rim tape anyway, so in the end I stripped it back, re-taped and sorted the gash with the Rema Tip-Top tubeless patch kit. As you say, a tyre patch needs a clean surface so it isn't really a trailside fix, but it's holding air beautifully now. The Rema kit's quite expensive for 3 patches, but you can get the patches more economically on Ebay (search for Rema Universal Tyre Patches - the ones in the kit are the UP 4.5) as well as the cement (SC-BL) both of which are stronger than the normal inner tube stuff. I'm off to buy a Tattico too now.

Had a similar problem and gave up, went back to inner tubes and purchased the bulletproof Schwalbe smart Sam plus( similar construction to marathon plus)and no more punctures!

Try stans race sealant . The downside is its cost and it drys out quicker than regular sealant. I have had nothing but praise for the Dart which I have used on both mtb and my pro one road tyres. You have made me want a silca pump.
