Myrthen-Sträußchen, Walzer, Op. 87 - Eduard Strauss

"Myrtle Bouquets". Eduard Strauss composed the waltz Myrthen-Sträußchen for a party to celebrate the engagement of archduchess Gisela to Prince Leopold of Bavaria. The party was held at the Volksgarten in Vienna on 3rd May 1872; in the following April the wedding took place.

Another gorgeous waltz composed by Eduard Strauss . I like how this waltz changes from slow to getting faster tempo . It is so elegant , can listen all day to it . Sehr gut . Danke .

One of my favourite waltzes by Edi, 6:02 - 6:32 is just wonderful! When I heard this waltz for the first time few years ago I repeated this particular fragment dozens of times - I couldn't get enough of this beauty. Small change of the tempo has definitely reinvigorated this masterpiece.. Thank you for uploading it.

Edi Strauss, although because of being a Strauss is more neglected than those with less talent was a genius. If you listen to him more one comes across a uniqueness not seen in any one else. Yes not evan in his very talented famous brother's!
