So if Toyota has 67 factories and from that they deliver 10.5 million cars, that comes out to ~156 thousand cars per factory.

Tesla is guiding for 1.4 million with just Fremont and Shanghai. That’s 700k per.

So one Tesla factory is like 5 Toyota factories. And this isn’t news? It might not be new but it’s quite significant.

Also, why is Toyota so inefficient with their factories relative to Tesla?

CNBC can you stop this. This guy is a fool and I'm no tesla fan boy. I'm a car guy and drove a Tesla Y yesterday for my first time wow just wow. But more important just read these comments they're gold. My final point is VW builds the electric ID4 in 30 hrs Tesla builds the Y in 10hrs! Oh and I can't get a $77, 000 vehicle for 6 months. Too much demand for a $77, 000 vehicle!!!!

When fools want to flap their lips, let them, lol. Gordo proved Gene's point and didn't even realize it. Toyota needs 65 (!) factories to make 10 million cars = 150, 000 cars per factory. Tesla delivered roughly 1 million cars from 2 (!) factories = 500, 000 cars per factory. Tesla already has a 3:1 advantage because of efficiencies Toyota can only dream of. As an investor, the better investment is obvious.

67 factories for 10M cars vs 2 factories for 1M cars. Without considering improvement in efficiency in new factories and the fact that even the existing one will produce more, that is 3 to 4 times more efficient than an establish Toyota. Thanks for proving our point Gordon.
