Nikon 200mm f2 IS is probably a bit better being more recent, but it's not canon fit of course, At least if the focus motor gives out you've still got manual focus unlike with this model here..I did try out one adapted to an old sony nex many years ago and this canon is optically good, better even than canon's 200mm f2.8L.

For a skinny few years I had the fast 600. I added the 2x lens to it. You need an assistant and a portable table. And a car. And cold weather.

Have a 1988 model which is just sitting just collecting dust. Any idea what I should do with it? Sell it, or allow it to be rented out through a professional company.... Is this even an option for me? I'd appreciate any advice, from people in the know..

I have the even much more rare FD fully manual version of this lens, called „Saurons eye“. I use it for astrophotography. maybe I will sell it.❤
