Wouldn't it be better to immerse them in water, similar to how you wash your clothes? Surface cleaning may not remove all the grease embedded deep in the fabric. However, when cleaning the headband, you should be cautious with the ends that connect to the headphones, as these parts may contain wiring and other electrical components which could corrode or react negatively to water and cleaning agents.

I toss mine in the washing machine with regular laundry, the only thing I do is to put them inside those cloth bags normally used to clean bra,

Haven't damaged then so far and it cleans it thoroughly,

My mesh was yellow and saggy because the inevitable effects of time, to I ripped them off and I'll try to find a silicon material I can fit where the mesh used to be
