I lived there and I never had any problem.. this little town is full of hard workers, honest immigrants and very nice people.

Bpt. is not as dangerous as the old days. It's nothing compared to driving through Father Panik at night in the 70s and early 80s.

I grew up on the North End in the 70s and 80s near the Trumbull Bpt line. Best times of my life. Mostly Black middle class area. Very clean and safe area.

Born n bred in the e streets of Bpt. Conn. The era I grew up was more ruthless and the reason I promised my parents I would break the cycle and did. I had the best time growing up with a little of both raised in the hood but went to catholic school big up Blessed Sacrament St Mary’s and Kolbe Cathedral

you know what add to make a city look ugly? is ugly streets, with patches and pot holes, you would think in this day and age they could come up with a good looking material for streets that last almost forever

I've seen nearly a dozen tours of Bridgeport and to be frank, this was not a pleasure to watch - it was so repetitive, looking at almost nothing but numerous side streets of triple decker houses. I'm guessing the cinematographer stayed in this small area preferring a short visit not far from I-95. It would be nice if one of these tours would venture to Seaside Park, the gem of the city and the only public beach on the "Gold Coast" that has a 2.5 mile road along the sand & water which wasn't mostly bought up by the rich as in the other towns. As far as crime goes, New Haven and Hartford have higher violent crime rates than Bridgeport and CT has a lower crime rate than the national average at 3.9 versus 6.5 per 100K.

This isn’t the whole Bridgeport. Bridgeport is one of the largest cities of and there are a lot of single family homes and nicer areas. I lived in the west end and and Northend. Bridgeport is dangerous, but not everywhere and not the worse in CT.

Not as bad as it used to be. Dangerous years were 1985-1995 because of new drug crack.

My whole family and me grew up entirely in the hollow and on the west on Norman and iranistan...my kids went to Columbus which is right behind the greens and my husbands fam is all from the east side...he has a huge family lol...family in the greens that just moved from there to PT about 2yrs ago...when you got to park Ave and took a right and got to park and beechwood I had friends passed on that corner but if you would have taken a left the old “sports page” bar and corner store was one of the many places to be when under age...both my parents and all their friends went to sports page when they were underage and then we all got to be teenagers me and some of my friends that were the kids of my parents friends all started going...got into a few fights over there lol then went next door to the corner store and got more 40’s to go chill after...a lot of fun and a lot of trouble lol once we got licenses we would all take turns driving around smokin and listening to music and drinking...2 of my best friends passed within 3 months of each other when we were 23...I taught her how to drive standard in her driveway going back and forth lmao getting whiplash and when it got dark enough we would go down to seaside and drive around at night so she could actually practice more than just 1st gear and reverse lmao we all had so much fun...so many things have changed in bpt but the memories will always be there... I could write a book just about all the fun, crazy ridiculous shit we did just driving around bpt...I’m sure so many others can say the same...I had a friend when I was in high school and she was from Ansonia and her mom loved me but told her that she was not allowed under any circumstances to come to bpt...she came down 1night and we all went down to this corner store on Park Ave going down to Seaside right before you go under the train tracks and right before we were about to get out of the car somebody started shooting at people on the other corner and she cam near had a panic attack...that was her FIRST and LAST time ever coming to visit lol

All I see in this video are multiple family homes.. which spells to me a strong rent market for real estate investments. 💰💰

Born and raised. Webster Elementary, Blackham Middle and Central High. It's not like it was when I was a kid, but it's alot better then the late 80's early 90's when the crack wars were on. Before they tore up FPV. When Lafayette Plaza was still open and kids had a place to hang out, downtown was ALOT nicer.

The most dangerous thing I see in this video, is your driving, SLOW DOWN so people can see the video. Terrible video.
