NDE's- Are They Godly TRUTH or Clever DECEPTION?

Are Near Death Experiences Biblical? What if a person's account of the afterlife doesn't match up with Biblical truths? Moreover, what if Christian pastors are promoting these unverifiable stories and misleading countless people? Since becoming saved I have revisited my views on this subject and am coming to different conclusions. How about you?

I used to be an atheist and then began exploring the avenues of the occult. I received my Reiki "attunement" and the Reiki "master" placed an energy symbol in my chest. After I was born again/saved I asked God to remove it if it offends Him. And I felt a gentle hand push through my back and out through my chest. God removed it.

NDE's are inspiring and interesting. Most of the time they speak of love never before known. A perfect feeling of well being. Condemnation never becomes part of the narrative. The Bible clearly teaches we can't enter heaven unless we know Jesus as our Savior. John 3:16. I never hear this mentioned in NDE's. As much as I want to believe in these stories, I can't help but wonder of this is all a grand discretion orchestrated by the enemy of our souls, satan.

Here is my humble testimony: I’m a Christian who was raised in the most strict doctrine-based Bible church: Church of Christ. Somehow I end up living in Las Vegas, the capital of greed, lust, gluttony, and godlessness. I actively hand out copies of Howard Storm’s book “My Descent Into Death” here in Sin City. Storm’s testimony has inspired countless people to love God, love Jesus, and other people. As with any Christian-based literature book whether it be C.S. Lewis, Howard Storm, or any given Bible-based commentary, always test it against the Bible. But at the end of the day: when I take my last breath, I doubt I will have my Bible-based doctrine down with 100 percent engineering accuracy, but I tried my absolute best, I love God, I love Jesus, and I loved others with everything I had. Hi, Candice. When my NDE came, it was a result of brake failure on my bicycle in 1966, 58 years ago. At that time no one was speaking about these things as popular folklore, or whatever you want to call it.

When the brakes failed, I was hurtling down a long, winding canyon road and hit a rock wall at full speed at the bottom. All I remember was flying headfirst over the handle bars and everything went black. It was so abrupt, I never even heard the crash.

I do remember rising up out of my body. I didn't want to look down on the body of "that poor little boy, " because his head would have surely been crushed by the impact and, besides, he was "not me."

That whole feeling of being out of my body seemed natural as I floated among the oak trees and seeing birds up close.

Then the sound of "angels, " singing a song so clear and beautiful, praising God, and their intimate joy in being with Him and their close connection being with each other, and with all of creation as well.

As I emerged from the tunnel, it was like a circular elevator platform as I stood on it, there suddenly appeared Heaven all around me.

The most striking thing was seeing the aural-like warm glow of life within a grassy meadow surrounded by trees and gigantic mountains.

I could see the life force of every blade of grass and the beautifully glowing leaves on the trees.

As I turned to face that beautiful song of joy, I was greeted by the sight of our Father's House, a gigantic crystalline building of immense proportions, each panel of the structure was made from what looked like huge sheets of diamond that reached, from my perspective, nearly to the stars.

I could now see that the song came not from angels, but from the brilliant multitude of souls housed within the structure.

Although I could feel the warm love of God all around me, I never laid eyes on His face. Mortal man was not created to be able to look on the face of God until, I believe, he is allowed entry into God's presence. (Like John the Apostle entering the throne room in the Book of Revelation). I was simply a humble witness.

I stood outside, completely forgetting about my previous life, my physical body, my family, even. This was all there is and it was enough.

I was sent back to do things that needed to get done in my life. The accident was a fluke, I was told by a being beside me that I had to go back.

"Reentry" was abrupt, jarring and the gigantic rush of being sucked back into my body was painful beyond belief. I lay there in the tangle of my bicycle, cradling my head in my hands, hoping to hold in the brain matter from my crushed skull. It was amazingly intact, but the pain of the impact was beyond description.

No one saw me hit the wall, I was in agony and all alone. The walk back up the long hill was slow and painful.

My family did not believe my story. My older brother shushed me immediately, so I kept it a secret.

Years later, I began to tell it. As the years went by, NDEs were being talked about--a lot. In my example, I had never heard of them because it was not a "thing" as yet.

It took a whole lifetime of figuring out what my mission was, it was to write about it, tell others that there is a heaven and to evangelize about it on a personal relationship level, which I did.

There is Heaven and there is Hell. Later I was shown the sheer sadness of the Outer Darkness, which is a story for another time. What my NDE taught me is that God is love and He knows every one of us on a personal level.

His gospel is true and there ARE consequences for your choices in life. Never believe ANYONE who tries to tell you there are no consequences for our actions here on earth. Jesus never tought us that. Quite the contrary, He taught that actions have consequences and we only have one chance to get it right.

After the NDE, I was changed; my life was a relentless drive to work in ambulances and render aid to others lying on the side of the road, in pain and broken.

No matter what I did (I trained to be a photojournalist) my life led inexorably into the ambulance and the fire service.

Today I am an old man, finally seeing how my life's seemingly unrelated bits and pieces fit precisely together, led by God's guiding hand, Jesus' promise of salvation, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit giving me the understanding I needed about my near death experience.

We must ALWAYS be like the Bereans, always testing these testimonies with scripture. Evaluating the stories of near death and sorting truth from lies.

Remember that Satan can deceive and even appear as an angel of light. He can even take a valid NDE and make you question your experience. For many years, the intrusive thought in my head was wondering if it was real. Afterall, why would I be kicked out of Heaven even though I fervently believed in my salvation?

And remember that there was a full-on war in Heaven during the creation when certain angelic factions led by Lucifer rebelled against the creation of mankind. They were cast onto earth and we are, even now, affected by their hateful influence.

During the Tribulation time, which I believe is already close to manifesting, there will be another war in Heaven when the fallen angels are cast to earth and it will be very bad for mankind who will already be contending with calamities never before seen on earth.

So gird yourself with biblical knowledge, put on the armor of God and never take it off. We are in for a time of great deception--question everything and pray like you never prayed before.

I have just “woken up” to this topic as well after many decades of reading and studying NDE’s. I feel God has woken me up to a bunch of things the past year that I simply could not understand before. The deception out there is THICK! Anything that is deemed popular with the masses or promoted on TV I now am seeing how it’s a deceptive agenda being pushed. NDE’s were big back in the 90’s when I was a teen. We have to be SO careful that we don’t stray from the standard which is the Bible, like you said. 2. Are they selling a book

People see the Christian faith as narrow-minded, which is accurate, yet they miss the point of such narrowness. Jesus Christ Himself is the narrow way and the door to eternal life. To follow Him is both difficult and easy. We will constantly fail (difficult), but repentance lets us receive His forgiveness which He gives freely and always (easy). Unbelief wants to complicate and create a multitude (wide path) of alternative solutions. Jesus is the solution. It is indeed narrow, but overflowing with unceasing mercy and love. When we receive His forgiveness, we know we are His and cannot belong or pay homage to any other religion or spiritual path.

So I got obsessed with NDE’s as well because I “had one” and I’ll tell you this, they are a great form of escapism for people who don’t have great lives. I was depressed lonely getting over a bad break up and I got obsessed with it even to the point of attempting suicide to “go to the peaceful afterlife” but then I got on meds, got treatment and I found God and my church. It’s like all sins from the enemy it’s a way to escape and not face reality. That’s just my personal experience with it. Please read the Bible God’s word is absolute truth. ❤️❤️🙏🙏

I too have begun to question and even doubt many of the NDEs. One thing that always stood out to me is how unusually eloquent these NDE reporters are. They depart from natural speech patterns and give the sense of being contrived and thoroughly rehearsed. And the increasing amount of detail given comes across as highly embellished and sensationalized. Your mother’s experience seems as real as it gets; no attention seeking motives or desire to sell a book.

Candice, I would just like to thank you for making this video. I think you did an excellent job explaining what is wrong with these experiences and the way people are interpreting them. I completely agree with you and I believe you are standing on very solid biblical ground. Discernment is so lacking on this issue that I could hardly find any videos that made the points you made about this phenomena. Well we know In the Bible that people had visions of heaven and I myself have had an out of body experience and saw who I believe to be Jesus wearing a white robe and had a purple sash. and he placed his hand on my head as I watched this from above and felt this peace. I was also shown this black fog coming from this area of darkness and was pulled back into the light before I saw him at my bedside. He also came to me as a white dove and then was beside me with light beside me and he showed me this darkness again which was behind a thin curtain and he was my light but the more I walked towards this darkness the light started to go out and I felt the fear and screamed “JESUS JESUS!!!!” And was pulled back out again and woke up. He spoke something to me in a deep voice and there was a harmony of singing in the background and i saw green fields as well. Also when I was into the occult I had a dark cloaked evil spirit appear at my bedside during a sleep paralysis and as soon as I rebuked it in the name of Jesus this thing LEFT immediately ! It took its hand off my heart and slowly walked away. So my conclusion is that you have to discern the spirits and Jesus is your key and security! The devil literally counterfeits what god does to make it so believable just to the point where you don’t put your faith in Christ. So I believe these nde and visions are very real however if you aren’t getting confirmation in Jesus, I believe it is demonic deception. He wants us to seek with our whole heart to find him❤ my advice is to discern deeply, pray for confirmation in Jesus name and see what fruit the experience divine experience has to offer. Remember that Lucifer comes as a being of light and his deception runs DEEP! These demons will do anything to trick us. They even have many Christian’s fooled with the new age universal beliefs bleeding into everything. Think about it, communication with spirits has no security whatsoever. Necromancy is all warned about in the Bible. I think god can show us our loved ones/ animals in heavenly visitations but if there is no confirmation and security in the name of Jesus, the spirits can’t be trusted. So yeah don’t write ndes off guys because in the Bible these heavenly open visions happened alot! Just discern in Jesus name ! I just got out of dabbling in the occult and spirituality for the last 15 years and recently fully gave my life to Christ. He is giving me the truth more and more everyday to expose the lies of the enemy. People in the past who were once alive into the mind of the person having a new age type of NDE convincing the person they had all of these past lives/ reincarnation being truth…These spirit guides and beings of light that appear giving this download of information are definitely demons I believe and can be convincing. There is nothing secure about reincarnation, karma or trying to talk to the dead. Always pray in the name of Jesus if you have ANY kind of open vision or spiritual encounter and he will reveal the truth for sure! I promise you that. These phony spirits can’t operate when you use the name of Jesus on them! I’ve seen and experienced what his name does to these entities first hand! Yes, I would have to agree with you. I notice that some share their NDE with the intent of selling a book or a service. If you had an NDE and you had an encounter with Jesus, why would one want to capitalize on this? Selling this experience for money? When I listen to NDEs, what I listen for is a transformation through Jesus and a passion for Christ after that experience when, after years, they are still sharing their love and gratitude for Jesus and doing his work. To me, this is authentic and sincere.
