How long will Anheuser Busch be able to sell the myth to their stock holders that their sales are down by only 1%.
Here's how that deception works:
They have "sold" all that beer, to the retailers.
The fact the retailers haven't then resold all that beer to the consumers isn't part of their report.
To their stockholders, all that beer sitting in the isles is part of their "sales."
However, they cannot keep "selling" beer that only sits on grocery store floors, and never goes to consumers. Eventually this ruse which inflates their "sales" will end and the truth will come crashing down on them. Retailers won't keep endlessly buying beer from Anheuser Busch just to pile it on their floors with the hopes of one day selling it at a loss.
