As someone who believes his life has been, and continues to be, immeasurably improved—transformed, even—as a result of what *I* believe is a relationship with Jesus of Nazareth that began when I was 16 years old, I have spent more than 50 years trying to “keep clear of people like that.”

I am therefore completely stumped every time I try to understand why so many *other* Americans who claim similar beliefs find themselves able to fully embrace and loyally support “people like that” as their *political* leaders. Beyond that, however, some of them even assert that such “leadership” is actually ordained by God Him/Her/Itself…

Which leaves *some* of us wondering whether such “leadership” is merely political.

And I *am* very much aware that many of these same people believe the words quoted by Billy Graham in this YouTube clip are *meant* to apply to people like *me* rather than to people who they will *always* love and support no matter *what* they say or do.

I'm getting less and less fond of the idea of Christian figure like yourself getting involved with politics.
It just harms your witness towards the faction you disagree with (in this case Trump supporters).

Also I don't think taking people out of context is helpful. In the speech where Trump mentions being greedy, in context he meant he *used* to be greedy, but now wants to be "greedy" for the United States. In effect, it's a form of repentance, which you should be all for.
