Via Ferrata (Klettersteig in German) is a protected climbing route. In this video you can see a via ferrata which is a real insider’s tip - the CALMONT Klettersteig on river Moselle in Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. It is a challenging via ferreta with alpine character and it is located at 200 to 300 metres above the River Moselle crossing Europe’s steepest vineyards.

The Moselle is a river that flows through France, Luxembourg, and Germany. It flows through a region that was first cultivated by the Romans. Today, its hillsides are covered by terraced vineyards where the finest Riesling wine is growing.

For this via ferrata sturdy footwear, no fear of heights and a medium fitness level is needed. Be sure to have enough water, headwear, and sun protection with you.
