49ers - 1979: 2-14
49ers - 1980: 6-10
49ers - 1981: 13-3 (AND we won the Super Bowl)

49ers - 2016: 2-14
49ers - 2017: 6-10
I'm hoping history repeats itself next year.

They also have far and away the greatest QB of all time! That kinda helps any system.

James Harden is so overrated. He doesn’t deserve even 1/3 of the fouls he gets and I don’t care that it’s not related.

Why is this a question? There is no argument, they are like the spurs, players come and go but as long as they have masterminds running the team they will have a better “system” than any of their competitors

Don’t understand how Richard Sherman is “not a dominating player” anymore. The dude still rarely gets thrown at, and when he does he get gets picks or deflections. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Jets had 247 yards of offense, but only managed 6 points; that's 41.2 yards per point. Patriots had 330 yards of offense and 26 points; that's 12.7 yards per point. You won't win too many NFL games if cannot convert your offensive yards to points. Yesterday's stats are routine results for the Patriots. They are about fifth or sixth in the NFL in converting yards to points. But they are 1st in making their opponents work hard for points. For the year the Patriots make their opponents gain about 20 yards of offense for every point. That's the best in the NFL. The Chargers were a little shy of 19 yards per point, but they didn't make the playoffs. The so called best defenses in the NFL are about 17 yards per point. The Patriots are three or more yards better than they are. The Patriots make their opponents inefficient. That's why they win.

woah woah woah woah... i was agreeing until u said Sherman isnt a dominant corner. I think we have over blown how good Seattle is. Last year they lost arguably the best safety in football and had no dependable running game and made the 2nd rd of the playoffs. This year they lost one of the top 5 safeties again and lost imo the best CB in the league and barely missed the playoffs. These seahawks aren’t bad at all they just have injuries. Sure they arent the patriots, but no one is. The seahawks are the second best franchise in terms of consistency in the league. Its the first year they missed the playoffs. They will come back healthy and with time off and rejuvenate. Sheeze man the overreacting is crazy

As a long suffering Bills fan whose team repeatedly gets slaughtered without mercy by the Patriots, I still cannot help but to deeply admire and respect the Pats. At least I can say it is an honor for my team to be the doormat to such a truly great organization.

I thought the same thing in the SB last year, all I heard from the Falcons coach was " attack, attack" and him running up and down the sideline. When the Pats score Bill looks the same always focused on the next play. The Pats are just another level, end of story.
