Game LINKS and overview:

Build and manage a Maximum Security Prison. As the sun casts it’s early morning rays on a beautiful patch of countryside the clock starts ticking. You’ve got to crack on and build a holding cell to detain the job lot of maximum security prisoners that are trundling to your future prison on their yellow bus. As your workmen lay the last brick you don’t have a moment to let them rest as they need to get started on the first proper cell block so you can make room for the next prisoner intake. Once they’ve all got a place to lay their weary heads the fun can really start.

You’ll need a canteen, infirmary and a guard room, oh, and don’t forget to plumb in a toilet, or things will get messy, but what about a workout area? Or solitary confinement cells? Or an execution chamber?

Inspired by Dungeon Keeper, Dwarf Fortress and Theme Hospital and with over 1 million players having spent time inside, Prison Architect is the world’s best lock-em-up.

Story Mode:
Prison Architect opens with the story of Edward, a man facing the electric chair for committing a crime of passion. This is followed by four additional chapters focusing on different characters and aspects of prison life. From Mafia Dons to power-crazed senators, Prison Architect has them all! To bring these characters to life, Introversion teamed up with award winning professional writer Chris Hastings, producing an enthralling tale of corruption and human misery set against the background of the modern prison industrial complex.

Escape Mode:
Finished your supermax? Got guard dogs roving every corridor and prisoners eating out of your hand? Now you can live the horror by firing up escape mode and play as a prisoner hell-bent on getting the hell out of dodge.

Dig a tunnel, go for the armoury or start a riot and slip out in the chaos, it’s entirely up to you! Figure out how to escape from your own creation, or hit the random button and load one of the 12,000 prisons created by the steam community, whichever you choose it’s not going to be easy...

Apologies for my prison to kill your computer. This prison has shy over 1k prisoners, and about the same number of staff. Even with that amount of staff, it still makes a lot of cash. I started it around Oct 2023. The punching bag is more for improving the cell ratings, but it has uses on early escape attempts. For the record, there are yards - small ones at the end of each cell block. I tried to clear as much of the visitation room as possible to not let things spawning that often, but I clearly missed the fire extinguishers on the staff only side of hallways and - most importantly - at the exit doors.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to use the right keyword to hint how I managed to (finally) escape it without giving it away entirely, but I did. Loved to see how someone was finding things out as it goes. Thank you for giving it a try, and for showing some obvious flaws to make it even more secure around the obvious paths 👍

I don't know how your channel appeared in my feed but I have been watching every new video for the last 2 weeks now. Can't wait to see next one, maybe I'll get the game to develop a prison for you to escape

Manage to get ahold of a taser and you can tase the sniper, which lets you get their rifle. The sniper rifle is the most powerful weapon in the game. When you use it, it instantly knocks out or kills staff or inmates.

I love how Okwechime just got into prison and is already stacking bodies.

Pyrophobia? I think that's just called common sense.

It still confuses me why the Console versions escape mode is so much better than the pc version as you could do quest, sell stuff and even work

i think its definitely possible if you give it enough tries 👍. but its nice to see a hard prison in the series when a lot of past prisons have the same/similar weaknesses, great vid as always.

Kinda sad that the game doesn't have a counter to the ''farm all the points instantly, then max out all skills'' :/

i LOVE how you describe why you are doing something as you do it. You are thinking like a criminal and it helps me design a better prison haha

That lighter holds the same magical flame that melted the steel bars in the twin tower

hear me out what if you recruit people max them out then kick them from the gang and repeat this util dozens of prisoners are far above the prisons actual level

Assuming Prison Architect has even slightly well-optimized rendering code, it's probably not the GPU that's struggling.

Grapefruit juice with bits added would be more accurate than bits left in, unless you've freshly pressed it yourself.

In the factory, they extract the juice from the fruit, filter all "bits" from the juice, then split the lines, some goes straight to bottling for "no bits" juice, the rest gets a specific ratio of solids added back into the mix to make juice with bits.

If I'm not mistaken I believe Frances John made this map.

Perhaps you could have followed the visitors pathway on the right and skipped all the worker quarters?

You sound like a commercial pilot. It's not a bad thing, but it's strange
