I was approaching a double mini roundabout and this happened ahead of me.
Can you spot the driving fault on the mini roundabout?
Who was at fault at the mini roundabout, the driver or the council?

Modern road planners seem to design junctions on the basis that, the more confusing you make the layout, the slower drivers will proceed and the more care they will take. I think it just causes confusion and frustration and leads to errors.

I can’t understand why the council would put that raised white circle in the middle as most small roundabouts look like those. Road markings need to be changed.

It's very easy to see someone's error when they are driving until you are in that situation. It happens especially when you are not familiar with the layout and its confusing when using Satnav as you have less time. However, nothing wrong about it if you haven't caused an accident, after all everyone makes mistakes at some point .

The black car who went around the kerb I think.
I've never seen a double mini roundabout like that before!

People often think of a double mini-roundabout as two mini-roundabouts with a short section of road, sometimes only a few car lengths long, between them. In this case the two mini-roundabouts are conjoined. Dealing with the second roundabout needs to take place when you are actually still on the first one. In the video the car coming from our right should have turned right around the circle nearest his approach direction and not gone past that and turned right at the island between them. We should have been free to proceed past the first give way line but stopped at the second give way line if the other car had proceeded correctly.

I spent two days in Bletchley to do a mock test... these roundabouts are not clear and are very confusing. Of course by the law always is the driver's fault but the council should make this iland more cleary to recognize.

I was here during a lesson and made exactly the same mistake as the black car. It's so easy to get confused there.

The council won't make any changes until there's a bad accident as per usual.

If you are looking for someone at fault here, then you have to look no further than the road planners, as it is, the black car went round the second roundabout but that is not to say that he did anything wrong by using that roundabout because he was always going in the right direction.

Take out the kerb, what is its purpose? It looks like it has been painted recently to make it more obvious.

Suppose one was driving around a large, four-lane roundabout; and your car was positioned not in the "outside" lane - but instead a lane or two closer to the middle. If you encounter a "turn left" road marking in this lane, is this telling you to move over into the left lane ASAP, or is it indicating that moving into the left lane is an option, or does it mean something else?
