Here is the link to the other video to see if a turntable can damage a record or not.

I love how many people just start to bashing on these record player simply because they are cheap and because they heard a rumor that they destroy records. But thats just not true. The standerd design for arm weigh is some where between 5 and 6 grams, and this one is about 5.6. Perfectly acceptable. All you need to do is to replace the needle with a better one

From what I’ve seen the Victoria seems much better than the crosley. From sound to the way it plays.

The simple fact is, not everybody has £120 to spend on a lp60, and another £200 for the amp and speakers, plus the room to set it all up in just to give vinyl a try. £30 and you can give some old records a try again, speakers included, no preamp needed. Fact of the matter is, without these portable all in one units, vinyl wouldn't have made it's comeback. All those brand spanking new records on your shelves that the big labels are happy to start producing en masse once again? You can thank this trash every time you lower the stylus on them for that pleasure.

I grew up in the 60's and 70's. I had one of those big plastic behemoths that didn't sound any better than this and I really enjoyed it. Waiting for a record to come out and getting your hands on it and then the joy of peeling off that wrap is something kids today will never understand. Have to remember all we had back then was the radio, late night concert tv, vinyl and tapes mostly for the car. i just got back into vinyl a few years ago and now the enjoyment is finding a great old album from my teen years in really good shape, playing it and allowing it to take me back in time. As Linus would say.. "That's what it's all about Charlie Brown" :)

Great review and demo! I never thought in a million years after listening to 78, 45, 33.3, cassettes, 8-Tracks, mini-discs, CD's, BT that I would ever be considering one of these but it's looking pretty promising after your great review! Thank you very much Sir, well done! Too bad I lost track of all of my 33.3's 🙈😳👍🏼 Start collecting!

Nice review. I have some nicer component turntables, many are older but one is an AT-LP-60-USB, but yesterday saw a near-mint Turquoise Victrola BT record player at a local Goodwill. This Victrola included the taped-on plastic packets containing extra styli (needles), the AC wall-wart, and the 45rpm adaptor. I tested the "almost new" Victrola pretty thoroughly using a couple of used LPs in the store. My impressions were similar to yours. I wasn't elated at the sound quality from the built-in speakers, but functionally this Victrola player was better than I had anticipated. As someone with many years of experience playing records, often with higher-end component turntables from Dual and AR, I was surprised that the tonearm felt similar, including weight, to the Audio-Technica LP-60 although there was more plastic than on the A-T. Obviously the platter on the Victrola is plastic, and it's not a full-size platter, but operationally everything operated just as depicted in your video. I liked the simple controls for turning the unit on, adjusting the volume, selecting between phono/aux/BT. Ultimately, I did not buy this because I have a LOT of gear I don't need in my home but I'm sure within an hour the unit sold for the $15 asking price, and I felt good that everything worked as it should. If you do buy one of these, do plan on replacing the stylus (needle) fairly frequently so you avoid damaging records, but I no longer am paranoid that occasionally playing an album on these low-end modern TTs will "chew and destroy" your LPs. Just be sure to keep your albums clean, use a good stylus-cleaning fluid occasionally, replace the stylus periodically, store your albums correctly, and enjoy.

If anyone is interested there is a version of this player under the name of 1 by one that actually include a rechargeable battery which means that you could take it everywhere with you

Here's a big tip!.. If you have any add on stereo computer speakers....try plugging them into the ear bud/head phone jack...You'll be amazed!..and how they make ANY record player that doesn't have nice sound, ...SOUND!.. That method also works for small radios...etc... :)

I love 1950s doo wop, sometimes it's hard to find certain group's full albums or certain songs on YouTube or music apps
