Out of these 10 movies, I’d have to say that Tropic Thunder has the best/funniest opening scene. Sorry to those who love FMJ or Borat! There’s a reason why Robert Downey Jr was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar along with Heath Ledger and his phenomenal performance throughout The Dark Knight.

One that should be there is How High (2001). A favorite opening scene of mine.
The whole scene happens through a slot in Method Man's front door. In two minutes, he deals with three people. Starting with the *only* way to answer the door in the ghetto, Method Man's eye movements, "Blaze two, get at me in the morning", dealing with Charlie Manson Jr. It *all* just works and you know what kind of movie you are in for.
