20% brightness while testing battery? How can you get a real world experience at that level?

everybody talks about the 65w limit, but this is what the g14 gives you as well unless you enable ultimate performance mode, and most just leave it in standard or optimized. they perform similarly, the real downgrade the hp makes is in build quality and in speakers. the build is VERY thin. the metal used just bends super easily in comparison to the rock solid g14. then the speakers, are just woeful for a laptop of this caliber

In real-world usage, who actually sets the screen brightness to 20%? This has a 500 nit screen, so 20% may as well be useless...

Why do reviewers "fix" battery tests? Setting its brightness at 20% and using quiet mode is unrealistic and fools people. I use it indoors at around 40-50% brightness and use optimised performance to get a mix of battery and performance. Using real brightness and Windows optimised would standardize these tests for the average buyer as well.

I own a custom built 2024 omen 14 w/ per key RGB, all white, & it's glorious. The keyboard. And the lack of fingerprints.
HOWEVER: here's some things that should change in 2025.
-32gb of ram without having to go to an RTX 4070 which this thin laptop can't take advantage of
-higher nit OLED or move to LED (looking at you lenovo)
-the video camera is a trashcan. Quality is poo poo
-The speakers are trash. My 2018 Huawei Matebook x pro is leagues better.
-My 4060 really wants more power. We need more watts, as you mentioned in the video,

Could you clarify something for me for the gigabyte aero 16 battery life in your own chart it mentions 9 hours video playback, but you mention it gets 2 hours. It doesn't add up for.

So of you work on 3D modeling but blender and also video editing, is it suitable, I like it a lot because of its portability and its light weight for caring it to school, but I work a lot on 3D(blender) should I buy this one? Or keep looking, right now I have a dell G15 with intel core i7 and RTX 3050, but its really really heavy and has a very obscure and not so color accurate display
