People confuse the scene from "Kiss Of Death" (1947) in which Richard Widmark pushes an elderly woman in a wheelchair down some stairs. Widmark stands behind her at the top of the stairs and pushes her down. The scene is legendary and has been a ubiquitous part of pop culture for decades, and thus part of the "universal subconscious".
