Northgard 2021: A review of the game and 5 reasons why you should play in 2021.

I am the Caffeinated Dad and I love sharing great games with other people! Video games have a great way of connecting people all over the globe and I enjoy that connection!

This is my first full length video creation for Youtube so any feedback is greatly welcomed!

Northgard is a Viking based real time strategy game. Underneath its beautiful artwork lies a complex game and these are my 5 reasons why it is worth picking up and playing in 2021!

This game is constantly overlooked and it deserves some much needed limelight! Bear Clan OP!

Some feedback:
- No video. This is by far the biggest problem. Person looking at camera only works for late night talk show hosts when they are doing the monolog. We are here to see the game.
- Pacing. You also keep interrupting yourself and defocusing.
- Comedic timing. Be a cool dad, don't stop when you tell the dad joke, say it and move on, who ever gets it, gets it. Stopping after a dad joke only works one time per video.
- Don't worry too much about these comments. Keep at it and you'll get better.

Thanks for the vid! Would like to give you some feedback though. Having more in-game footage would make the video a lot more informative and attractive. That being said, I enjoyed the video and the wood jokes haha

hey do you know how to edit victory conditions in northgard? ive tried all the recommended optins like adding a .hx file to map folder under mods nothing works, trying to just have domination and map special

I like this game. I picked it up back in 2017 when it was on early access on Steam. I have never finished the story mode, I have never played online. I just like to load up a new world, explore it and fight bots. It is such a gorgeous game.

now thirteen clan. it is a really good game and probably one of the only active rts games on the market. super chill and multiple paths to victory whether solo or on teams.

Hello and thank you very much for the video. I really enjoyed it and I am always glad to see Northgard getting more attention, because it certainly deserves it!
The things I like most about this game are first of all the randomly generated maps together with the diverse clans and just the generally relaxed and calming atmosphere even on the higher difficulties. For some reason I enjoy optimizing things like build orders, lore progression and everything much more than in most other RTS games I have played. Secondly I love the Conquests because they vary up the standard gameplay with different challenges and Conquest-exclusive perks, while also unlocking new town hall appearances for each clan. They are very fun solo but together with a good friend they get even more enjoyable.
Lastly I really liked the story campaign. While it's a very basic revenge kind of plot, the characters are likable and the missions all vary up the formula and have their own quirks and special objectives. In addition I very much enjoyed playing through it on all difficulties and doing all the bonus objectives, which the game also rewards with some extra skins for your warchiefs.
I also want to mention that I really like the graphics style they went with. It might not be high fidelity but it fits the game perfectly, looks very pretty, and especially winter feels just as harsh and relentless as it should. The music is also very nice overall and since the launch of the game there have been quite a couple of new songs that got added, which I all liked.
Like you said I really love how the game still is being supported by the developer and also by the community thanks to mod support via editor and such.
Bear Clan definitely rules, although it's hard for me to actually pick a favorite Clan. I pretty much like them all depending on my mood, although Dragon and Kraken always felt a bit weird and weak to me. Might just be my playstyle though.

My favorite RTS of all time is Commandos 1 and 2 for PC starcraft64 was so fun also .

Im the old time lover/gamer of RTS and the best soooo faaaar is Dawn of war 2 - Retribution. No basebuilding, 15-20 min per game but intense to the end, in combat after 10-15 seconds to the beginning. Old game but the best for me, so far. I recommand it for you.
