If you don't drive your car regularly you WILL BREAK IT HERE'S WHY.
1. The internals of the engine like the bearings, cylinder liners etc will rust
if they don't have oil flowing around them.
2. No car manufacturers have ever tested a cars ability to sit and do nothing, unless testing the electronic battery drain.
3. If you don't drive your car, then you have just purchased an expensive statue!
4. When you drive it to work it is always something to look forward to instead of dreading the drive you can now look forward to it😂

Got my 2016 R Coupe AWD now for 4 years and drive every day. Even in Wintertime on 20 inch wheels in snow and ice.
And it works even than perfectly in the mountains of Germany!
Thats why it has, ceramic coating, heated seats, steering wheel, seats, mirrors, front and back windows.
It makes so much fun to drive on unlimited german Autobahn with 600 hp+.
Yolo!

I drive my F-Type almost every day. The alternative is to drive my wife’s Camry, which feels like driving a sofa by comparison. I stay off the freeway and primary roads as much as possible. Why? Because, I’ve got 2, 000 miles of country roads with good pavement and sweeping turns within 100 miles of my house. By British “B” road standards, these are more like “A minus“ roads. Perfect for this car.

Many Thanks, cars are built to be driven & enjoyed!!
We are all passing through, let's be kind to each other & chill.
As Dr Wayne Dyer once said, one day we will all be a memory to some people let's try & be a good one!! Peace From London. 🙏🙏🙏

I don't drive my FT-R everyday, but I really get a kick of the novelty (and beauty) when I do drive it. It is always the prettiest car in the parking lot, and on the road - and yes even when it's sharing space with a 458 Ferrari ! I think these cars get better with age (softer). I took mine out this weekend for a longish drive within the suburbs and it was great. I find crawling in traffic at 30km/hr frustrating and sort of feels like bringing an RPG to a knife fight.

Mark, I hope you get to read this, your post spoke to me. Your point about getting in your car and driving it hit a nerve. Earlier today, I sold my MKIV Turbo Supra 6-Spd after 25 wonderful years, and 150, 000 miles, simply because I couldn't enjoy driving it any more. Sniff. With parts so expensive, and no-shops left with capacity, it was simply no fun any more. I found your post because my mates reckoned that the F-Type R would be a good replacement, I intend to buy one. Keep up the good work.

I DD my F-Type. It is a modern car that is amazing to hear, hold, steer, push, and look at. Oh, it's nice too.

Mark I can appreciate that fact you have this car. You and I have some similar makes...especially in German brands. I am looking at this model...my worry here in the Midwest is that there aren’t many available 2nd hand and this will cause me to look nation wide which has its own challenges. Good on you, great timeline for me!

I had the f type. I had it for 6 months I put 13k miles on it, I daily drove it and then some. As you can see 13k miles in 6 months. Sounded fantastic. I totaled it, I wouldn’t buy another Jag. BMW service is absolutely terrible. My RCF is boosted. Super reliable. I like that it’s very comfortable and become a beast when I want. Great daily car, and can completely change in an instant. Plus super reliable. Has never had anything but oil changes and brakes are extremely reasonable compared to the jag or the bmw. It never had an issue. Can’t say the same for the jag or the bmw.

Damn big brother, u a real one for sure.
Real talk we only love once so why not enjoy that beast every single day.
If i had one the only thing that would stop me from doin that is the gas because gas is really expensive in my country lol
Hugs from Cabo Verde Mark 🇨🇻 ✌🏾

I used to drive my F-Type to work every day up until this past March. Since then I’ve only had to fill it up once.

Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. I get that some cars are collectibles and should be preserved, but I don't really understand the people who buy a nice car and then just keep it parked in their garage all the time

Getting stuck in traffic is one of the best bits about having a F-Type...& sometimes more so when my gf isn't there! 😜

I have a XF 3.0 V6 as my other "practical" car but I still do ~15k miles (pre Covid) in my F-Type. Jags really don't like being left undriven - battery/central locking/door locks/electrics/limp mode issues - I'd argue driving it every day is the best way to maximise reliability.

Thanks Mark! The reason why we're here is to be happy. So drive that Jag like you stoled it! It is your vehicle, right? 🤔
