Also as an experimental electronic musician, I concur. And for many, it's not just sitting in front of a computer for hours, either. I personally have 360 degrees of instruments all around me, each begging to be played (I rarely use sequencers). It's just as complex as a different genre's multi-instrumentalist's work.

not in all cases, pre-recorded drums for example doesn't make you a drummer.... but a midi keyboard hooked up to a DAW is basically like playing piano, but the person playing already has preexisting knowledge.... but musician to me is even deeper than that, its the understanding of the theory behind your instrument, reading sheet music, and playing tastefully as well as again not to say controllerists/dj's dont play tastefully or thoughtfully

If you are talking about that shit on the radio, then i agree. But listen to some underground house or something. Its one of the most soulfull genres in EDM

If you read a little about Luciano listen the Keynote from the IMS 2012 he is a Musician, But That s not the point it s about the F1 and Traktor 2.5. I m not a musician i can't i have no talent .But NI product are awesome . Je fini en francais c est plus facile, De nouveaux outils pour et utikiser par des gens qui aime le sons et qui souhaitent s exprimer via la musique on une fleche a leur arc en plus et c est que pour le Son. Luciano t es top ;)
