THEY FOUND Enki, now Adapa and the South Wind Anunnaki Story has a Whole new meaning
Показать описание
In Mesopotamian mythology, Adapa is a legendary sage and citizen of Eridu, which has ruins in southern Iraq. Having been gifted with great intelligence by Ea (Sumerian: Enki), the god of wisdom, Adapa became the hero of the Sumerian myth of the fall of man. Adapa, despite possessing all wisdom, was not granted immortality in the myth. During one of his fishing trips, the south wind blew so violently that he was thrown into the ocean. As a result of his rage, he broke the wings of the south wind, which ceased to blow. He was summoned before Anu (Sumerian: An), the sky god, to account for his behavior, but Ea warned him not to touch the bread and water that would be offered to him. The two heavenly doorkeepers Tammuz and Ningishzida interceded and explained to Anu that since Adapa was endowed with omniscience, he needed only immortality to become a god. In a change of heart, Anu offered Adapa the bread and water of eternal life, but Adapa refused. Humanity remained mortal. Cuneiform tablets found in Ashurbanipal's library at Nineveh contain the legend.
