The only reason why India is able to maintain its independent foreign policy during the current crisis is because India has a strong government in center, i.e., a government with full majority, not a weak coalition government. If India had a coalition government then I don't think India would be able to sustain the pressure from the western powers. Every Indian should know this aspect of geopolitics and vote accordingly in the elections.
