Like basically every new custom keyboard sounds the same and it’s getting annoying

I genuinely think clicky is better sounding

I have silent red switches and they’re great. They still have some sound irl that doesn’t exactly translate into the video well but it’s not annoyingly loud.

I wasn't really aware of this possibility either. Been using PCs since 1990. Only when I pre-ordered my Wooting 80HE did I learn about this.

the sound is basically the feel you get when using vibration on control; it's needed

I have a keyboard with a lever, it changes the switches between tactile and linear, fucking love it

Silent switches are great. Got some outemu silent peaches and it's so good it doesn't feel like it's made by outemu. By contrast, got some V2 purple switches for the keys "that doesn't matter" and was surprised by how bad it still is. Wobbly as fuck. At least the leaf is from a harder alloy now.
