Amongst the bells: Bromley Common

We join the bells for a quarter attempt of Plain Bob Major on this fine 1910 Taylor 8. The bells are housed just above a small cavity a couple of foot tall, just above the ringing room.

In the ringing room they are a bit mushy and the red brick tower makes for some interesting movement and slight unpredictability in what the bells might do in some changes. Once this is taken into account though, it is very rewarding for both ringers and maybe moreso those listening outside.
