Windrider Fox - build

Originally intended as a light wind sloper, glider or powered glider.
I decided to try a stiffer and heavier build for speed and strong wind.
Flying weight with 1300mAH 3S is 570g. CG 55mm back.
Carbonbird KST digital MG micro servos.
Fuselage halves and wings glued together with UHU Por.

I did enjoy the build highlights on this Fox. I think very practical strengthening mods. Here in southern SA we get such strong winds too. Especially around Milicent. You can put flaps on a house brick and slope it very successfully there. Of course, like every one else here, looking forward to the maiden footage and then it's day on the slopes. Great build Andrew. Inspiring indeed.

Nice plane, I couldn’t help myself if I had this. I’d turn it into a twin engine fast mover.
Some 2200kv’s would go nicely mounted on the wings.

Amazing this fox.. cant wait to see how it does on the slope..

I do have a couple of questions on the laminating stuff:

1- apart from strengh.. is there any difference in drag? i have seen some folks claim that being "smoother" the wing creates less drag and so it goes faster on the slope ..

2-Ironing EPO .. does it "bubbles" ? (you know, when EPP/EPO gets hot like on hot water and it becames like a corn cob :D )

Andrew, I see you use UHU POR glue for the spars. I have heard E6000 Goop is good. Is the UHU POR still your go to?

So do you ever sand the molding (moulding) nubs off the surface of the foam before applying the laminating film?

Andrew I got diagnosed with Tourette syndrome and haven't been able to work or drive in two months. And I am currently ground ed. Was gonna buy a ft plane right before I started getting tics at work. Do you have anything laying around collecting dust you could donate. I have a rx and tx. My fpv cam went out too.

Somehow when I laminate a model it takes more time than that. Usually an hour or two plus a week avoiding doing it.
