I can understand many words of Kannada, Telugu words (words of King era movies), Malayalam, Assamese, I think some other NE states languages Bengali, Marathi, central only Tamil words I find difficult to understand, I believe it's because of Sanskrit root. And I feel Kannada is closest language at present to Sanskrit.

Canada is a true country with democratic values. Canadians are very much broadminded and Chandra Arya is welcomed to speak in his mother tongue in Canada's parliament whereas Indian parliament needs to learn where Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali and other Indian regional languages are also Indian languages apart from Hindi.
