Alcazar is one of my favorite groups in the Melodifestivalen world and I always looked forward to seeing them representing Sweden at Eurovision. Man, I have so many things to say about Alcazar (hard K) and Danny that I'm making it a list:

- The three songs in the medley were all past Melodifestivalen entries by Alcazar ("Stay the night", "Alcastar", and "Not a sinner nor a saint").
- "Not a sinner nor a saint" is widely thought to be one of the most robbed songs in Melodifestivalen history, and I strongly recommend checking it out.
- Their old entries included past member Magnus Carlsson, which is why 2013 Melodifestivalen host Danny helped them out.
- Danny himself has competed in Melodifestivalen three times - once in the group EMD with the banger "Baby goodbye" and two times by himself, with "In the club" and "Amazing". Both the latter songs came in second, and are the source of the joke that Danny always comes in second. If you appreciate Danny's good looks, you're gonna appreciate these songs too alright.
- (Danny is bisexual, and both current Alcazar singer Andreas Lundstedt and past singer Magnus Carlsson are gay. Just putting that out there. 😘)
- Actually, I'd say they're pretty much legendary in the Swedish LGBTQ+ community.
- Alcazar has competed in Melodifestivalen two more times, with "Blame it on the disco" and my personal favorite "Headlines" (with the iconic first line "Got your number on my underwear").
- Their genre is listed as Eurodance on Wikipedia, and I can tell you right now that every song I know by them is indeed a certifiable dance party.
- My qualified guess is that you'd fucking love pretty much all of Alcazar's Melodifestivalen entires (probably Danny's as well). So I'm gonna be cheeky and request reaction videos to all of them! 😘❤

Alcazar is great. My favorite of theirs is their 2014 entry Blame It On The Disco, you should react to that too.

It's such a tragedy they never made it to ESC. They are a legendary Swedish institution (and originally there was another man and a Redhead before the brunette). That Brunette actually went on to compete in Mello solo, after Alcazar officially retired in like 2017 or such.

Andreas Lundstedt (Not-Danny) represented Switzerland in 2006, which I think was one of the songs you didn't get to for that year - this is not a recommendation to go back and do so, though. He was part of a specially constructed group where every singer came from a different European country and they sang an incredibly bland Ralph Siegel ballad about, like, peace and stuff.

I do second the other recommendations to check out more Alcazar and Danny songs, though. 😁

Alcazar is pure Eurovision trash and I them! 💖💖💖 So sad they never went to Eurovision. Another similar group is BWO (Bodies Without Organs), also so great. Also, Danny is babe, and his "In the Club" was such a banger, I was so mad when he lost to Eric Saade in 2011.

The music style I think you speak of as your guilty pleasuse is Schlager. It's mainly a music style popular in Germany and the Nordic countries.
