I can second this! As someone with schizophrenia, it’s important for my friends and family to understand that Schizophrenia is a core part of who I am and it makes up how I receive information, perceive my environment, and even how I communicate with others. It’s also important for the person living with schizophrenia to be vocal and open about any symptoms or disturbances in your everyday life. Those around you will be better able to help and support you if you can communicate what you’re experiencing.

Hi Michelle, yes it does take a lot of love and patience. My husband must really love me he’s been there for me through thick and thin and I do love him too.

What are you do when they refuse to take medication? I don’t have schizophrenia that I know of I border, but my stepbrother does I know he just sits in his room and isolates he never comes out but my dad and stepmom don’t get him the help. I don’t know what it like to have schizophrenia but I do know I isolate myself too so I can understand of course they’re both two different illnesses, so I can’t speak on how it feels.
