Oh wow what a design flow the insta has. You can't hold it for long so short grip. Second gen will be better. OM6 ls more reliable and you can do long stream without getting tired.

I have used the insta 360 flow for a few days and found it to be heavy on the head and light on the tail. I put a wireless microphone on it, and I feel that the weight is all on one end. After a long time, I will feel very tired.

Would be interesting to see a re-test with the new update to the OM 6. It now comes in the white colour and has Active Track 6 to fix the tracking issues as well as allow for tracking while zoomed.

What is the maximum payload of the flow? in comparison with the OM6, which of the two gimbal phone holder will be able to holder a thicker phone case securely and is the width of the case/phone the same with the two or would one holder a wider phone/case then the other gimbal holder? With those with android phones, do you know if one is still able to connect with the gimbal via bluetooth (without the app) and use basic gimbal to control basic controls like activate shutter or does one need to use the app to do that or manually on the native camera app (in my case I have Samsung S22 Ultra)? Thanks

Same review as everyone else. All praises for the flow, but what they don’t mention. The tripod legs on the flow are extremely flimsy like you will always wonder when they will snap off. The tilt is extremely limited both up and down. Really sucks cus it’s hard to get parallel lines. You can’t transition from low angle shots to high. The gimbal it’s just not capable. The 360 photo/video feature software needs help it doesn’t stitch the photos properly. If you use the tripod and extend the pole it will almost always fall over. For all them reasons I returned mine.

Thank you for another excellent review. I’ve watched several trying to sus out the differences in overall performance of the two, and yours is by far the most comprehensive.

That said, the one factor that lingers for me is ability to hold imbalanced phones with add_on lenses and filters attached. Moment makes counterweights for the DJI Osmo 6 that allow it to shoot with a lens and a filter attached. I wonder, since the Flow does not have a threaded port for counterweights, if it’s additional weight capacity would allow it to film with accessories without the need for counterweights….

Hohem M6 vs Insta360 Flow comparison in terms of features and AI.

I’ve ordered both as I see the M6 can use my GP10, DJI A2/3, and Insta360
1RS action cams, aside from iphone12PM. Also it has more wider range of motion.

But the Flow is much more portable.

The built in tripod comes at the cost of being able to attach the gimbal to an alternative tripod or counterweight or really anything

The huge problem with the dji is that you can't switch from front to back cameras while recording, can you do that with the flow?

Wow very impressive. I was having to remind myself that this is a hand held smart phone gimbal and not a professional Film camera. The difference between the two for me didn’t seem that much?
