I like the old guy who doesn’t like the Jews. He doesn’t pull any punches or give a fiddler’s fuck.

Dear God! It would appear that the chinese have a hell of a lot to learn about the jews! This is worrying how ignorant the chinese are on this subject.

I am not suprised by the affection of the Chinese people toward Jews at all.  Hatred for Jews is entirely absent in China and Chinese communities living abroad.  Both cultures share a similar trait, we both emphasize, share respect for family, tradition, and education.

Jews are admired in China for their success despite their scattered small numbers and historical oppression.  Family, learning, respect for tradition, business acumen: these are Jewish traits that we Chinese also consider to be our virtues.

Finally, we never had the reason to view the Jews as our competitor for religion legitimacy, unlike Christianlity and Islam.

Very good to know that as a Jewish American tourist, I would not likely run into any racist hatred in China. If you are very smart, and you also work hard to be successful, lazy and racist people will always resent you for it. East Asians and Jews understand the merits of hard work. We also have the highest IQs in the world.

I was really excited to see that Chinese people have any opinion about us ! Especially when it's a positive one. I didn't think that you've even heard about us. Such a tiny country.
Anyway, my impression from asian people, is that they're very positive and relaxed people. I wish I will have the opportunity to visit there once.

I'm an American Jew in China, with a Chinese family, often the first and only Jew people here have ever met. When people wish me a happy Christmas, I thank them and tell them it's not my holiday.I respond to their puzzled look and tell them I am Youtai. The reaction has been uniform. Eyebrows rise, jaws drop, and the first surprised word I hear is Einstein! Chinese see us as smart, scientists, artists, and sharp businessmen who love their families. They see us as being Asians, just like them!

It doesn't take much to understand how the world works and from there on find a way to exploit it for your own benefit.

Nothing to do with being smart...just pure logic.
