Turkish is spot on. The lack of a clinical striker is still a concern. We miss too many chances, or another way of saying it is we need a lot of chances to make one count. That hurt us last season, especially in our games against Aston Villa both home and away. We will see next weekend away to Villa.

Not the greatest of performance for our opening game but atleast we won and take the 3 points. I thought our front 3 of Nelli Havertz Saka were our best players today. The problem was mainly our midfield and defence bar Raya and White. Rice as an 8 in these types of games doesnt help as it kills us offensively and it we lack creativity on that side which is why i hope we have wrapped up this Merino deal so Rice go back to 6.

Ødegaard was brilliant! I sometimes wonder which game these guys were watching?? The rest struggled to march to his beat; his pressing, his passing were on point. Needed to drop deep more often than normal, but that was often down to the deep lying players not progressing the ball as quickly or as effectively as was needed.

Honestly i didn't like that we struggled alittle to get the second goal, wolvers looked attacking too but come on it's arsenal we the best defense . attack wise let's slowly get the momentum going.

I think Martinelli did look sharp and could take a step up in his game this season. But the most important player in this team is ofcourse Saka. Ødegaard was okay but I hoped he would play even better. But that star attacker is missing, I think we should have gone all in on Ollie Watkins or Osimhen before the season.
