A.A. Milne | Missing | Poetry Reading

Missing is a kids poem by A.A. Milne, who wrote the Winnie The Pooh stories. It's an amusing, nostalgic poem about childhood and many adults find it very relatable too, especially if they had pet hamsters or mice as kids. Missing is from the viewpoint of a small child who has lost his pet mouse.

My absolute favourite line is 'Have you seen a mouse with a woffelly nose?' The adjective woffelly is just so wonderfully descriptive for a mouse!!

This poem reminds me of when I was a child and the times my hamsters jumped out of my hands and ran off - they always seemed to head under the sofa first. Luckily I always managed to track them down eventually...

I really prefer A.A. Milne read in an English accent. Lovely. Thank you!
