SYNOPSIS:
Srebrenica is no longer just the name of a town. It represents the worst of human cruelty and an act that many had hoped was expunged from European history with the end of the Second World War. Jasmila Zbanic's drama unfolds in 1995, just as the Serbian army have entered the mostly Muslim Bosnia town. Aida is a translator for the UN. Her family is among the thousands of citizens looking for shelter in the UN camp. But as an insider to the negotiations, she has access to crucial information that forces her into the untenable position of deciding between her obligation to those she loves and the role that has a wider impact. Zbanic's humanity, locating her story on a relatable level, within an event that many of us might find impossible to comprehend, is what raises 'Quo Vadis, Aida?' far above the level of the standard war film.

Trailer downvoted because some can't accept the truth. Still after 27 years.

1995... when we realised how utterly useless the UN was.

Undoubtedly, the best film I've seen from 2020.
An extremely tight and effective screenplay which informs and questions what happened without ever being exploitative.
It left me feeling absolutely sick and hollow. How this genocide was just allowed to happen is just horrifying

Just saw this. Very powerful and difficult to watch at times. I remember watching those events on the news, as a child. Just hard to wrap my head around that type of hate existing.

Why down vote a trailer for a brilliant and vital film?

Quo vadis Aida i Dara of Jasenovac must be seen. Both movies. Maybe the world will understand the hate and suffering of our people after all these years. We all committed atrocities towards our neighbours and friends...and it hurts me like hell to see that the hate is still present. Why? Because of religion? Fuck it. We are people and how can one human being intentionally hurt, torture and kill another. Terrible...

We need more than film like this to remind the world about what happened in 1995 and to UN shame on you

Did they add the part where Naser Orić killed serbian civilians in neighboring villages for years while being guarded in that UN safe zone or did they just leave that part out

This is such a good film. Trully sad how much people can hurt each other. To only think that there were and still are more people like Aida who lost their families because of war.

It's sad to see so many Serbian's came to downvote this move and say "Hey but Bosnians killed Serbians as well", " 3000 Serbian were killed so it's justice that 100, 000 Bosnians died". Everyone that shares the same thinking should be ashamed of themselves! Serbians hate when it's shown to the world what happened back in 1995. What happened in Srebrenica is one big stain on entire human population because whole world watched it happen and noone did anything to stop it. I was one of those kids from the movie running through the crowd trying to find my dad, mom, my sister... I hope nonone ever experience anything similar. Peace to all!

I wonder will Serbia ever acknowledge their responsibility, or will we continue to have a silent fascist political regime in Europe, waiting for its second chance. These comments below are cold blooded. What the hell is wrong with people.
