West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice Attempting To Offer 3 Maryland Counties To Join The State

The governor is trying to grow his state by inviting 3 Maryland counties to join West Virginia.

These MD counties sent a letter asking to join WV this is 2nd time

West Virginia gives Maryland Jefferson County and the geograpic Eastern half of Berkeley County (at the ridge just to the east of Back Creek)

Maryland gives WV Garrett County and Allegeny County and Washington County west of that same line.

In this way, WV gets a net gain of about 700 square miles while Maryland gets a net gain of about 83, 000 residents.

This should make the residents on both sides happy and less of an administrative nightmare for both States. Win-win

I pray 🙏 one day that this should happen. Garrett, Allegheny and Washington county MD in my opinion fits right in with WV especially with the location of these counties also pray that one day that Virginia counties that wants to take Jim Justice offer to join our state would happen one day too. If this happens one day. Today’s 97.5 in Martinsburg depending on how strong their signal is would have to drop the 4 State depending on how many counties in MD & VA reaches .

As if Maryland wants to be associated with the second poorest states in the union. One of the most uneducated also. WV is still waiting on coal to make a comeback.
