Another AI classic from the legend, Reginald Watson. This 1964 gem is a deep cut of his, and explores similar themes as his other classics, themes he very much lived in his everyday life, through all seven of his marriages. What more can you say about this great man by now? Listen to him yourself, he will tell you how solid a man he was, and his music speaks for itself. He is simply the man, the myth, the legend, Big Reg. RIP.

Lyrics:

Baby, you know I'm a god fearin' and moral man, I take care of my own and I'm always there to lend a helpin' hand

Yeah, I go to church and I be prayin' to the lord, helpin' out my neighbor's and bein' a good influence on this world

You know I'm a dignified man baby, and I be takin' care of all your needs, but sometimes you's get to b*tchin' and that's when I say this marriage sh*t just ain't for me

Cause see, I was raised to respect me a lady, but that damn sure don't mean I ain't got it in me to cause you some tragedy baby

Yeah, you know every once in a while I be givin' you a smack, but sometimes that mouth keeps a-runnin' and that's when I just about snap

Cause baby, this man he can't take no more of that bitchin' and complainin', the more you harp on my ass the more you got me sayin'

Lord Jesus, this b*tch about to have herself an accident

She be runnin' that damn mouth, b*tchin' and needin', and Lord I've had it up to here, yeah she done got me sayin'

Lord Jesus, this b*tch about to have herself an accident

She gonna tumble down them stairs, she gonna hit them brakes and they ain't gonna work, yeah she gonna keep harpin' on this here man and find her ass in a world of hurt

Lord, I've been a man that be livin' in your image, I'm as good as they come and my principles be strong, yeah they ain't timid

Everyone around they know my name, they be sayin' "Reggie's the best man to know" and "What a god fearin Christian he done became"

But Lord Jesus, this b*tch she be puttin' my nerves to the test, my faith be strong but this b*tch about to find herself in some eternal rest

Cause what's a man to do when a smack just don't work and that mouth it keeps a-runnin'? That's when you know it's time to go to the next level, take this b*tch to them stairs or somethin'

Mmm baby, yeah you used to be one fine ass heavenly dame

But now with that motor mouth you got, b*tch you playin' one dangerous game

Cause I ain't a man to take no disrespect just a-lyin' down, and pretty soon baby you gonna find yourself f*ckin' around and findin' out

The female manager at the recording studio told him "No way in hell am I letting you record this" Funny enough, she had an accident and died. He ended up recording the song, and the rest is history.

Another hit from the late, great Reggie. Remember hearing this one on the radio when I was on a trip with my parents. Mom was nagging about being late to her younger sister's wedding, but when it came on, I remember her getting real silent.

Old Reggie is a role-model for all of us, young men. He's still big here in Afghanistan.

Ohhh! My uncle and his 5th wife danced to this song at their wedding. He told me two things always got him through life: this song and life insurance.

Reginald was in top form on this single.Guitar work on this piece was by reginalds former cellmate George "Ladykiller" Davis. Davis earned the nickname when his wife fell to her death on a ferris wheel after an argument with Davis.

My inner monologue when my mom is going on about no one helping her, yet when I do help it's not done right because it's not done "her way."

Back when people were still cutting brake lines. They don't make songs like this no more.

Reginald Watson once stated in an interview that he felt his records had a positive effect on the listeners' marriages and were "educative to countless young men". "My father taught me at a young age that a man needs to take a firm hand in the relationship and take no lip from a woman" "One of Dads favorite sayings was "God gave a woman one big, loud mouth, but he gave a man two powerful fists to.shut it but good". During the interview Reginald recounted a childhood trip to Disneyland during which Reginalds father Grover, incensed at his wifes complaints that he was on the wrong street, pulled the car over sharply in front of a veteranians office and loudly proclaimed "Bitch, Im.about to put you down right here if dont shut your damn mouth'. "Dad wore this big ol ring shaped like a horseshoe, and he gave her a couple pops in the face, that shut her up right quick, and left a permanent horseshoe shaped scar on her forehead"
