This was the game when I became a NY Giants fan. I was 11 years old and finally got into football. I’ve watched games before but not habitually. Just visited my Dad and hanged out with him and family in Stroudsburg, PA. Lived in South Florida at the time. Being born in NY meant to me that I had a deep connection with New York. Previous years I would stay in NYC for many summers with my lil brother and my dad. That score 41-0 to beat the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game on that January afternoon changed my life 😊😊😌😌❤️❤️❤️

This was basically the end of the Denny Green era in Minnesota; he had remade the team after the 1999 season by firing a bunch of assistant coaches, letting go several long-time veteran players, changing the offense, changing the defense, and telling everyone that all the changes were going to put the team over the top. For them to just give up and quit the way they did here was an indictment of Green and the team he had personally put together, and he would be out the following season.
