Ignorance of the Law

I touched on this topic a while back and we had some good discussions. It has been a while and we have some new friends, so I'm letting y'all know what is on my mind.

If y'all can tolerate it, pretty soon, I'd like to get into what makes for a "Constitutional Lawyer" which it isn't what you would think that means.

I am also currently interested in what it would take to get us from where we are economically to where we should be, and what our role as individuals is in that.

@landshark22 I think Jury Nullification could very well play into this. The research that I've done on jury nullification shows it as quite the thorn in the judicial system's side. When I was in jury duty selection, the sitting Judge was very concise in telling us that our duty was to determine the guilt or innocence of the individual in the context of the law, not to judge the law itself. At the time, I didn't know he was referring to Jury Nullification.

Great thoughts over coffee, reminds me I need to add an SBR to my crib sheet, thanks! Isnt it "negligence" that is defined by "you should have known" or "common sense" law?!

I can and do agree with you to an extent. Child molesters should have a min. Mandatory, the death sentence. I know it's a apples oranges example. However, if someone claims to be an expert or an educator of say firearms, you better know the law, even if it's a victimless crime, you better know it or dong claim to be an educator. IMHO. Great video.

I may be wrongbut I seem to recall some bill/law like the patriot act or some other act that actually had classified sections in it. At the time I thought "How can I folow a law I do not know exists". I'm not sure the Bill/Act was passed or not, I just saw it being discussed in Congress on C-Span.

If there is no victim is there a crime?
Can the State really be a Victim?
Should I really be part of this discussion?

I believe it's an AOW IIRC? You think jury nullification plays into this? obviously only coming into play in a jury trial.

If they are going to "Out Law" or "Ban" a weapon...IMHO..It should be about the crime...If This weapon Is Used in a Crime Then.... sort of thing...JMHO...
