HOW IS IT THAT Ishmael & Isaac both BURIED THEIR FATHER TOGETHER? WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Often people do not realize that a particular action (maybe you thought to be a sin) is committed in one place and several chapters later, more will be revealed that explains the final outcome. Since people draw conclusions without the entire context, they are often incorrect in their assessment. Be sure to listen to this section 28:06 (did Abraham sin by sending Ishmael away)
Ge 25:9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;

Ro 4:1 ¶ What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
Abram/Abraham had to live through many trials and hardships. We do not correctly analyze the information given us. Did Abraham sin by sending Ishmael away? Was Sarah saying Abram sinned by having a child with Hagar even though she suggested? 31:18

The interpretation of Rom 4:1 is totally lost in a swirl of Calvinistic rhetoric. Instead we should be learning life lessons. 24:12

Ro 4:1 ¶ What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?

The battle with the flesh is examined in Abram/Abraham.
First and foremost, Abraham was not a Jew. He is the actual "father of the faith" to all Nations.
Take a moment to sit at his feet and learn how to be the actual friend of God.
Only then are you beginning to be ready for the Son of God to finish God's Glory meant for us all!

Ge 12:1 ¶ Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation,
3 ...and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Ac 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
