Funny thing is, after doing sound design for Star Wars, Ben Burtt never wanted to do a movie with robots in it ever again. Until Pixar told him about Wall E (even recorded more sounds for wall e than for Star wars). Really shows how spectacular this movie is

Wall-E is one of those films that watching it now hits pretty hard... but gosh darn this re-cap had me dying of laughter

Then Pixar was all like: "We won't just give you a romcom, we'll animate the best romcom/robot/post-apocalyptic dystopia that ever will be."
