Honestly, a kid who is nice and polite out in the world and kind of a pain in the ass at home is the best-case scenario. It means you were good enough parents to ensure they knew how to be a functioning member of society and decent person, while also creating a home environment where they feel comfortable enough to not always have to be their best self.

I like how Mike was totally on Frankie's side until Axl turned it around on Frankie. The sudden change of his expression where he realizes Axl is right is so good. Him still having her back though shows why their marriage is great.

Something I teach in my Leadership Development class. Interviewing is a skill, you would be shocked how many qualified, intelligent people cannot interview worth their life. Its something you have to practice and work on like anything else.

At home, my brother and I would belch constantly, eat like pigs, argue, swear, lounge about, never lift a finger, grunt rather than talk, walk about in our underwear and stink the place out. In public, we were pin-neat, smiled and everyone used to say to our parents, "They're very polite, and lovely and kind." We were the Stepford teens in public, and useless, ill-mannered slobs at home.

That's the thing: Axl seems like a different person, but he's NOT. Even when he's obnoxious, he shows he has a strong charm and confidence that is absolutely infallible. You contrast both this and how helpful and gentlemanly he was with Lexie's parents (like how Axl's relationship with her is so completely genuine in which his niceties and snark can both co-exist easily) and how he had to PRETEND to be pleasant around April and snap when she wasn't around and there's definitely a difference. #TheMiddle #TeamLexie #Lexl #LEXLFOREVER
